Srinivasan Swamy, Chairman, R K SWAMY | Hansa
An Engineer/MBA, Srinivasan K Swamy has been with the group for three decades, and took over as Chairman five years ago. During this period he has overseen the development of the group from a single company to now encompass seven companies spanning a spectrum of services. There is no facet of the group that has not benefited from his careful planning and development.
A well known industry leader, he served as the President of Advertising Agencies Association of India for three consecutive terms. He is currently the Vice Chairman of Confederation of Asian Advertising Agency Associations, and Member, Governing Council, Advertising Standards Council of India.
As a Management leader, Mr. Swamy has served as the President, Madras Management Association. He currently holds the offices of Sr. Vice President of All India Management Association and Vice President of Madras Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
Shekar Swamy, Group CEO, R K SWAMY | Hansa
Shekar has been working with the Group for over two decades and has helped build the Group's business across a broad array of service offerings. Shekar's area of specialization is in developing business, marketing and communication strategies globally. He has worked with leading companies in various parts of the world, and has helped them launch, manage and grow their brands and businesses significantly.
Shekar has served on the Faculty at the Integrated Marketing Communications program at Northwestern University's Medill School for the past 12 years. He, along with Prof Don Schultz, has developed a course on "Global Marketing Communication" which is a regular class for the Graduate students. Northwestern University inducted Shekar into the Alumni Hall of Achievement in 2002, a rare honor.
Shekar holds an MBA (Delhi) and an MS from Northwestern University.
S.Swaminathan, Co-Founder & CEO
S. Swaminathan has over 16 years of database-led marketing experience working in one of the world's top marketing communication company - The WPP Group. In India, he was the National Head & Executive Vice President of iContract (a one-to-one agency of Contract Advertising, India and a subsidiary of JWT India - India's No. 1 advertising & communications agency). He is amongst the early evangelists to lead the data-led marketing, loyalty & analytics thinking in the APAC region. Under his stewardship, iContract became a top ranking one-to-one marketing agency both in terms of revenue growth, new business wins and awards. Under his leadership, iContract was the most awarded one-to-one agency in India which included the Cannes Lions Direct Gold, Effies, DMA Echo Awards (USA) to name a few.
He has had a rich experience of handling key MNC and Indian accounts & brands like VISA, HSBC, DHL Express, TNT Express Worldwide, Shoppers' Stop, Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund, ICICI Bank, Computer Associates, Wipro Technologies, Tata Indicom, VSNL, Shell, NIIT, Cadbury, Bharti-AXA Insurance to name a few. Some of the programs that he has managed and led are leaders in their category like Shoppers' Stop First Citizen program - India's largest retail loyalty program, Wipro Technologies - integrated lead management program was adjudged as the best Marketing Effectiveness program for any IT services Vendor by IDC, California, USA.
He holds a Bachelors Degree in Engineering and a post-graduate degree in Management. He is an avid blogger and runs his own blog www.customerworld.typepad.com. He also teaches at leading management institutes and regularly writes in leading management dailies & magazines.
He is also a member of the Institute of Direct Marketing, London. Other interests include music (is an accomplished percussionist), playing and watching cricket.
Ajay Kelkar, Co-Founder & COO
Ajay has over 20 years of experience in customer-driven marketing across a wide range of industries like Soft goods, Banking & Financial services & Retail. He has had exposure to a wide variety of business styles & cultures across Procter & Gamble, Britannia, Marico, Shopper' Stop & HDFC bank.
He was the head of marketing for HDFC Bank, a leading private sector bank in India. He was responsible for building world-class analytical marketing capability for the bank across the country. He led the bank's marketing team on a pioneering path of data-led marketing & analytics. The bank had executed a unique data based strategy by automating the bank's marketing environment and this had led to huge improvements & ROI in cross-sell and up-sell rates.
The Analytical marketing efforts at HDFC bank were pioneering steps in the Indian market and led to the bank's nomination amongst the Global top 3 for Unica's global success awards. Also, Financial Insights (an IDC group company) selected HDFC bank as amongst the top CRM practitioners in Asia basis the Analytical CRM capability that has been evangelized at the bank.
Prior to Banking Ajay was Head of marketing at Shoppers Stop, India's largest Department store chain where he ran what is arguably India's finest Loyalty program the First citizen's club.
He has extensive experience in starting with simple data-led marketing and scaling-up to complex analytics-based cross-sell, upsell programs. He has specific expertise in change management while implementing CRM.
He implemented a unique enterprise wide marketing automation strategy for HDFC bank which was based on Unica & SAS technology. Ajay was invited to be on the Customer advisory board by Unica Corporation.
Ajay holds a Chemical engineering degree from UDCT Mumbai and an MBA from one of India's premier business schools, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT). Ajay is an outdoor enthusiast and spends his leisure time travelling and trekking in the Himalayas and elsewhere.
Roy Wollen, Head Analytics & Client Engagement, North America
Roy Wollen has Over 25+ years of experience in Database Marketing and Analytical Marketing. He is a thought leader and author of several papers and books on Database Marketing.
Prior to Hansa Cequity he has been on the vendor side with Experian, as well as Direct Marketing Technology.
At Direct Marketing Technology he was a pioneer in deploying customer databases and list processing innovations for catalog marketers in the 1990s.
Roy Wollen’s assignments at Experian centered on clients, using databases to solve business problems. Roy has led some of the top direct marketers in country across industries, particularly in ecommerce, retail/catalog, financial services & publishing.
Prior to Experian, Roy worked on the client side,for Bloomingdale's Direct and Hewlett-Packard.
Roy has a Master of Science degree from Northwestern’s Integrated Marketing Communications program (Medill IMC) and speaks regularly at industry conferences and business schools.
Roy has authored a book on database marketing, as well as being active in several direct marketing trade associations, such as the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) and Chicago Association of Direct Marketing (CADM) where Roy is on the board of directors. Roy is a regular speaker at the Annual Conference for Catalog and Multi Channel marketers (ACCM) and National Center for Database Marketing (NCDM) conferences.
Anand Siva, Vice President & Business Head - Customer Integrated Marketing Unit
Anand Siva has over twenty years experience in mainstream advertising, brand management and corporate communications. He is working with Hansa Cequity for the last two years as Vice President & Business Head - Customer Integrated Marketing Unit.
As the former VP and Branch Head of Saatchi & Saatchi, Mumbai, Anand Siva has worked with brands like Logan, Ariel, Pillsbury, Savlon, Reliance and ICICI.
He holds a Bachelors Degree in Corporate Business Administration and is a member of various groups such as Marketing & Communication Network, Interactive Marketing Experts and Integrated Marketing Network. His interests include the BTL side of business, the pressures on street-smart activation and working on non-mass media and B2B segments.
Dinesh Bharule, Head Analytics Practice
Dinesh Bharule has a decade of experience in management consulting and is working as the Head-Analytics Practice at Hansa Cequity for almost a year.
He was the Assistant Vice President at Ugam Solutions Private Ltd. where he headed the "Marketing Analytics" Division. He has worked in the financial services and market research industry.
Dinesh holds a PhD in Organization Culture and a Masters in Technology, Management from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
